The Red Mountain Therapeutic
Riding Center
Activities And Services

The riding center functions as a key resource for personalized therapeutic sessions, facilitating approximately 40 - 50 private lessons daily.
Each session is tailored to address specific objectives. Prior to commencement, we engage in discussions with both the child and their parents to set goals and outline incremental milestones. Midway through the process, we conduct evaluations to refine our strategies and assess our progress.
MONDAYS & THURSDAYS: regional council children & ptsd evacuees from the north
Every Monday and Thursday, children from across the area and the “Nof Edom” elementary school, arrive for riding sessions right after school. They enjoy lunch and then dive into meaningful time with the equine therapist and horses, with whom they've already bonded. Through fun exercises like balancing on a horse, leading it, and moving to the rhythm of music they love. They return home feeling much more relaxed, empowered and happy.
Later on mondays, a group of 20 evacuees from northern Israel joined the therapeutic riding
session. Each individual had unique traumas and goals, with distinct progress. Through the
bond with horses, they gained control over their mental health and achieved body balance.
TUESDAYS: children from the mo'adonit program
On Tuesdays, children from the Mo'adonit program visit the riding center. These children, who face social and communication difficulties in school, including bullying, rejection, autism, hearing and speaking challenges have the opportunity to interact with other kids and make new friends, experience safety and belonging, develop leadership skills, self- worth and confidence.
WEDNESDAYS: urim and branco weisse
Every Wednesday, children from Urim, a special education elementary school, and teens from Branco weisse, a school for at-risk youth, come together for a morning at our riding center.
This empowering experience boosts the teens' sense of responsibility, sensitivity, and communication as they assist the younger children during therapeutic riding sessions.
After this, they enjoy an afternoon of sessions themselves.
For the children, interacting with the teens and horses brings excitement and emotional significance, leaving their day filled with joy and laughter. It's their favorite day, offering
a chance to step out of school and into nature, connecting with horses and each other.
